Shrimping

Overview

  Shrimping ("the App") is a posture tracking application developed by Tyler Berndt ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
  

Motion Data

  The App uses Apple's CMHeadphoneMotionManager API to read head tilt data from your AirPods or compatible Beats headphones. This data is:
  - Processed entirely on your device
  - Never transmitted to our servers
  - Never shared with third parties
  - Used solely to calculate your posture position in real time
  

Posture Session Data

  The App stores posture session history (timestamps, duration, posture percentages) locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud Sync (Pro feature), this data is synced via Apple's CloudKit to your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
  

Your Name

  If you provide your name during onboarding, it is stored locally on your device and used only to personalize the App experience. It is never transmitted externally.
  

Purchase Information

  Subscription and purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
  

Data We Do NOT Collect

  - We do not collect audio from your AirPods
  - We do not collect location data
  - We do not collect personal health records
  - We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
  - We do not serve advertisements
  - We do not share any data with third parties
  

Data Storage

  All data is stored locally on your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, data is additionally stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy terms.
  

Data Deletion

  You can delete all posture data at any time from Settings > Clear All Posture Data. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, disable iCloud Sync before uninstalling or delete the data from iCloud settings.
  

Children's Privacy

  The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
  

Changes to This Policy

  We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
